What is Chinese Herbal Facial Rejuvenation?

For thousands of years, the Chinese have known that beauty comes from the inside. As early as the Sung Dynasty (960 AD-1270 AD) Chinese Herbal Facial Rejuvenation (CHFR) practices were employed for the Empresses and Emperors. The Chinese discovered and utilized ways to change the energy flow within the body to initiate the healing process for rejuvenation. Though CHFR is more than a cosmetic procedure, it is a rejuvenation and revitalization process designed to help the whole body look and feel younger.

Based on the principles of Oriental Medicine, CHFR involves acupuncture, a special Chinese Herbal mask and facial massage. The insertion of hair-thin needles into particular areas of the face, ears, neck, hands, trunk and legs along channels or meridians of energy called Qi (pronounced chee). Specific points are chosen to manipulate the movement of Qi in the body according to the individual's needs. Many meridians either begin or end on the face while some have internal branches that go to the face. Carefully selected Chinese Herbs are blended in with the facial mask for your special needs. Therefore, treatments specifically affect the face while simultaneously treating the underlying factors that contribute to the aging process.

Facial massage

CHFR is a painless, non-surgical method of reducing the signs of the aging process. It helps to improve muscle tone and dermal contraction, especially in the face and neck. Bags and sagging around the eyes, face, and neck can be significantly reduced and toned up. Healthy facial coloring can be restored and there can be a tightening of the pores. Habitual expressions resulting from stress are transformed, resulting in a remarkably younger, calmer and less worn looking face which to meet the world.

What are the Effects?

CHFR may erase as many as five to fifteen years from the face, with results apparent after just a few treatments. These treatments improve circulation of the face and body, bringing nutrients to the skin and removing metabolic toxins. CHFR has been shown to increase collagen production as well as blood and lymph circulation to the face and scalp.

Ms. Jane Hilton's Colorado State License certifies her to practice;

Swedish Massage is a highly relaxing massage. The combination of soft music, soothing aroma and long tranquil strokes will leave you feeling relaxed and renewed.

Deep Tissue Massage is recommended for chronic problem areas, injuries or for those who prefers a deeper, stronger massage. The therapist uses thumbs, knuckles, hands, forearm and elbows to get deep into the muscles. The therapist also focuses on pressure points and stretches to clean out and restore suppleness and flexability and increased health to ailing soft tissues.

Neuromuscular Massage is the utilization of static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the central nervous system.

Sports Massage is a light, fast paced stimulating massage that increases blood flow and oxygen to muscle tissue. Good for pre or post events.
